Nyaya Health Director of Technology
This agreement, between Mr. Bipul Luitel and Nyaya Health, stipulates expectations for both parties during the period from March 15, 2009-September 1, 2010 during which Mr. Luitel will be Director of Technology. This is a volunteer position with the hope of a long-term commitment.
Overview of Duties
The director of technology is responsible for the implementation of our internet presence. His tasks include:
- perform the functions of, or otherwise oversee, the webmaster for the main site, blog, and wiki;
- work directly with the director of collaborative technology to oversee the technical aspects of Nyaya's presence on social networking sites;
- provide trouble-shooting and technical innovations to improve the google apps accounts and member emails propose and implement additional technical innovations;
- provide semi-annual reports to the board of directors a “Statement of Nyaya’s Web Presence” as to the effectiveness of our different sites, with specific statistics.
Expectations
The Director of Technology is expected to:
- search out new partnerships, ideas, technologies, markets, and strategies;
- respond promptly to Nyaya members’ requests;
- be honest about their time commitments and ability to meet tasks agreed upon;
- regularly communicate about the progress of their work.
Nyaya Health, under the direction of the Program Director of Operations, is expected to:
- create a positive and enjoyable e-work environment;
- provide ongoing, honest, constructive feedback as to the quality of the work of the Director of Technology;
- respectfully consider suggestions by the director of technology and implement those suggestions that are possible and for those not possible, provide a rationale for why they aren’t;
- pay attention to the mental and physical health of the director, and take care that s/he is well-supported and not overworked.
Duties and expectations may change over time; such changes may be undertaken by verbal agreement between the DOO and the director of technology.
Compensation
This is a volunteer position for which no compensation nor personal expenses are paid.
Extending the Period of Service
The period of service may be extended at any time, but must be done within two months prior to the termination of the period of service specified above. The objective is that Mr. Luitel remains committed and engaged with Nyaya Health in the long-term over the course of several years, either in the present capacity or in a new role.
Finalizing the Agreement
This agreement will be finalized upon emailed agreement by the DOO of Nyaya Health Mr. Ryan Schwarz and Mr. Luitel.
