Nyaya Health Collaborative Technology Manager

This agreement, between Ms. Sushma Sharma and Nyaya Health, stipulates expectations for both parties during the period from September 2, 2010-January 1, 2012 during which Ms. Sushma Sharma will be the Collaborative Technology Manager. This is a volunteer position with the hope of a long-term commitment.

 

Overview of Duties

The role of this position is to ensure that we continue to innovatively utilize collaborative technologies for the purposes of transparency, efficiency, and collaboration.  Specific Duties include: 

 

  • manage the organizational live sync file cabinet, keep it organized and clean, and invite new board members to foldershare; update thecollaboration page as needed
  • manage wiki; update the WikiTips page as needed; respond to users' requests for invites and assistance
  • manage google apps listserves and users
  • manage google analytics and adwords
  • respond to volunteers' concerns
  • explore avenues to improve the efficiency and reliability of our collab tech strategy
  • manage the technical aspects of the picasa photo gallery
  • assist the Director of Technology in managing the website and technical aspects of the blog

Approximate time commitment: 20 hours per month

 

Expectations

The Collaborative Technology Manager is expected to: 

  • be honest about their time commitments and ability to meet tasks agreed upon;
  • regularly communicate about the progress of their work.
  • be responsive to users' concerns in a timely manner  

 

Nyaya Health, under the direction of the Director of Operations, is expected to:

  • create a positive and enjoyable e-work environment;
  • provide ongoing, honest, constructive feedback as to the quality of the work of the Collab Tech Manager;
  • respectfully consider suggestions of the Collab Tech Manager and implement those suggestions that are possible and for those not possible, provide a rationale for why they aren’t;
  • pay attention to the mental and physical health of the manager, and take care that s/he is well-supported and not overworked.

 

Duties and expectations may change over time; such changes may be undertaken by verbal agreement between the DOO and the Collab Tech manager.

 

Compensation

This is a volunteer position for which no compensation nor personal expenses are paid. 

 

Extending the Period of Service

The period of service may be extended at any time, but must be done within two months prior to the termination of the period of service specified above.  The objective is that Sushma Sharma remains committed and engaged with Nyaya Health in the long-term over the course of several years, either in the present capacity or in a new role.

 

Finalizing the Agreement

This agreement will be finalized upon emailed agreement by the DOO of Nyaya Health Mr. Ryan Schwarz and Ms. Sushma Sharma.
